New public art installed in downtown Niagara Falls

A new sculpture, meant to depict the flowing waters of Niagara Falls, was installed Friday at Old Falls and First streets in the Cataract City's downtown core.

The work by Buffalo artist Jesse Walp, an associate professor at Villa Maria College, cost $60,000 and was paid for by USA Niagara Development Corp.

1,300 pounds of aluminum tubes with some blue rubber resin balls

States about .45 cents a pound..

    1,300 pounds X .45 = $585

We're about to lose our garbage removal and this idiot of a mayor is bumbling away more money. If it wasn't for the fact his father was a popular doctor in the city, this clown would have never made it past his first term.More sculptures, less city services and then cry the city is strapped for cash.

    70Stang,

That art work will draw tourist to the area.

Anyone know what happened to the art work that used to be near Buffalo City Hall? It was a bunch of tubes suspended with steel cable.

I think Cheektowaga should start to add these around town.

Giant Flamingo "art" statues. Yeah that's it.

People will flock to our town just to see the large flamingos.

Thats what they said about that, what ever their calling it at the round-a-bout.The city needs to fix it's finances before doing something like that.A lot of good that will do when the area starts to smell of garbage when Modern stops picking up the trash.

Follow the trail of Niagara Development and you'll see who's financing it.
