    cheektowaga plows not ready.

wow fish fry not ready for the snow. thats nothing new even when there ready they cant keep the streets clear.
wow mark whats with the red face? not sunny out

In Cheektowaga, Highway Superintendent Mark Wegner told WGRZ-TV the town had 10 plows, and two high lifts available. However, that is less than half of the full complement of snow removal vehicles they might have in December.

Still, he didn't seem worried about the town's ability to clear roads as the storm began to set in.

"We have 25 plow routes, and a normal plow route takes four hours to complete one time around," Wegner said. "So now I have half of that so it's going to take 8 to 10 hours to do what usually takes four... but we'll be ready. It will just take a little longer and we just ask the people tonight to stay off the roads and if possible to to avoid parking on them overnight."

This is a great job on behalf of the supervisor. It’s now been shown that the highway dept can be cut in half with the job still getting done. I hope we can expect to see this cut reflected in next years budget

I didn't see that coming. You have a valid point. Now did the guys work 8 hour cycles or 8 + overtime seeing they were short handed?

I got to work without issue... Down Rowley then right on Indian, right on Como, right on Union into my parking lot.

They didn't have our street plowed before 830am, but they made up for it by plowing it a total of 3 times by 2pm so it was good for the afternoon rush.
