Is grump ahead of the times?? Of course in a VERY BAD way!!!

I've scratched my head these past months as our grousy grump bypasses the usual "socialist" insult toward Democratic officeholders for the "totalitarian" jab time and again in his posts.

    Hmmmmmm???

Someone else has now taken up that sick refrain...

Trump attacks Democrats as 'totalitarian,' 'doing illegal acts' - The president continued his campaign efforts for off-cycle candidates with a Louisiana rally Wednesday night, a day after a tough loss for his favored gubernatorial candidate in Kentucky. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-attacks-democrats-totalitarian-doing-illegal-acts-n1078001

"WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump encouraged supporters to elect the Republican candidate in Louisiana’s gubernatorial runoff at a campaign rally in Louisiana on Wednesday night, portraying the Democratic party as “totalitarian” and “willing to do illegal acts” in order to remove the president from office.

“Democrats are becoming increasingly totalitarian,” Trump said, accusing his opponents of "trying to overthrow American democracy to impose their socialism agenda” and “trying to rip our nation apart.”
Gee, if anyone is energizing totalitarianism around the world it clearly is President Donald J. Trump!

While these two clowns (grump and Trump) throw around terms like "totalitarian" to attack their Democratic opponents, we can all see Putin trying to bring back such a regime right now at the expense of people living in Ukraine.
BOTH grump and Trump are dead wrong, and, absolutely no surprise there of course! Especially when you consider the history of totalitarianism in the former Soviet Union, where Trump's pal Putin rose to power and now aims to reclaim the might of that horrible totalitarian government.

People are being killed right now, Trump was caught holding up aid that clearly resulted in the further loss of life, and he has the audacity to toss around a term like totalitarian???

    Get a life!

Looks to me that Trump wants to give Ukraine to Putin, with the cold-hearted Trump caring not one bit about the affects of his sordid actions holding up hundreds of millions for their defense and at the same time attaching strings to the use of some defensive weapons.

In Syria and elsewhere, Trump is making Russia great again https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...124_story.html

"Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines of a war that has killed 13,000 people told the New York Times that the aid interruption “took a heavy psychological toll . . . striking at their confidence that their backers in Washington stood solidly behind their fight to keep Russia at bay.” Oh, and those Javelin antitank missiles that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked for? The Times reports: “The Trump administration provided the missiles on the condition that they not be used in the war . . . lest they provoke Russia to slip more powerful weaponry to the separatists.” So what’s the point of providing them at all?"
The warped ideology of these two kindred spirits, grump and Trump, is truly dangerous for the future of America and the world.

They only encourage the return of the Iron Curtain!

Poor simple Breezy!! The Democratic Totalitian Party’s long celebration of Totalitarianism goes back the vey foundation of the Party. Breezy, remember the darling of Andrew Jackson, The Indian Relocation Act, that he used to deprive the Cherokee, the Choctaw and the others out of their native lands so that his friends and supporters could engage in the carefree pillage those lands? Franklin Roosevelt used it as the model to imprison thousands of innocent Japanese American citizens without charge or due process in the 1940’s so his supporters could have at their property without being molested. And the Democratic Totalitarians will still abuse Indian nations for their own selfish purposes without shame when it suits them. The serial liar Elizabeth Warren’s years long claims to be a Cherokee in order to gain advantage over other female applicants for college teaching jobs is only the most recent example. Poor simple Breezy.

Sounds like psychobabble to me, grump.

You defend your misuse of the word as Trump says he might attend next year's May Day parade in Moscow.

Not to mention the 30th anniversary of the falling of the Berlin Wall.

Poor simple Breezy! Of course you think it’s psychobabble. The truth always confuses people like you. I think it was the March 20th, 2011 edition of the Democratic Totalitarian mouthpiece, the New York Times, that carried an interview with Obama in which he complained that he didn’t have the power of the Chinese dictators. And don’t forget the 2012 Democratic Totalitarian convention when Obama said “The people belong to the government.” It’s hard to find a simpler clearer elucidation of the essence of fascism than that.

Poor simple Breezy! I’m pretty sure that, to the thousands of Cherokee, Choctaw and others who died along the Trail of Tears, it was a bit more than psychobabble. I’m pretty sure that, to the Japanese-American citizens who were released from the camps after being held for years without charge or due process only to find their property destroyed or stolen, it was a bit more than psychobabble.

grump, if such a simple person like me can see right through your argument, then someone of great intellect could easily see as well.

How is the current Democratic Party totalitarian?

With all due respect one needn’t have a great intellect to see it. Sanders, Warren, Obama, Beto, Buttigieg, Harris...their every pronouncement proves it. The rabid anti-Semitism that is woven throughout the entire history of your party, your party’s continuing attempts to control Blacks through welfare, public housing. As they say, the truly blind are the ones who refuse to see.

I don't know about the anti Semitism but democratic party as a whole tends to pit people against each other including controlling groups of the population with welfare and programs like public housing. I'm rather surprised when it comes to voter ID how many democrats feel minorities are not smart enough to even get photo ID. Many of my clients are minorities and they are smart, many own businesses, know how to get get ID and so on.

Pretty lame reply, grump! And you resort again to a history that has nothing to do with America today.

Funny, you challenge public assistance for Black folks, due to your crazy theory of Democratic control; yet, if history tells us anything, it says "networking" and "family connections" (mostly in the private sector) leads generations into good-paying jobs for White folks. And when networking and family connections, "Yeah, my dad got me into Ford or GM," are absent, it's much harder to work your way out of needing some type of assistance.

Funny how you always leave things like that out of your arguments.

    No surprise there.

Bottom like is a governmental safety net is appropriate, just and certainly not a plot of the Democratic Party. Would you also say that Social Security is also a plot to control older Americans?

    HaHa!

Again, a BS answer without any substance, then the usual distraction which includes another dividing topic.

    I am not biting!

This is pretty basic stuff, WNYresident!

    It's very basic Sociology.

Instead of obfuscation, maybe read these two articles and educate yourself.
