I think the only people who have problems with this are people who make their living promoting this practice.

WNY, Democratic Totalitarians have built entire taxpayer funded industries for themselves and their families around largely manufactured “crises”. Homelessness and opioid addiction come immediately to mind.

The older I get the more and more it looks like you are correct. It's more of are you doing what you do to help others or are you really just helping yourself.

The simulation will give participants in the community the opportunity to walk in someone else’s shoes, Vossen Vukelic said.
Walking in someone else's shoes is one thing. Going into someone else's pocket is different. If the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is ran on 100% donations and given charity more power to them.

The United States has previously resettled up to 200,000 refugees annually

I wonder if this is true

Refugee costs: $8.8 billion, $80,000 per immigrant, free welfare, Medicaid

America’s big heart in welcoming tens of thousands of refugees and asylum seekers from war torn and disaster-ravaged nations comes with a huge cost that is choking taxpayers — and barely making a dent in the worldwide refugee crisis, according to a new report.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform Monday put the five-year price tag at $8.8 billion in federal and state costs, or nearly $80,000 per refugee. There are some 18 federal and state programs refugees can tap for financial help, including food stamps, child care, public housing and school loans.
