Full time town GIS employee

Though this position doesn't exist on Monday's agenda, it's a request from the Highway superintendent.
Now, this a position that I believe is needed. As the highway superintendent stated in his letter, the information
provided by the employee in this position is utilized by many departments.

Agree that the GIS system is an important tool for the town and others. Amatura is to be commended for its implementation and improvement. There are instances when assistance is needed. However, another full-time hire at what I imagine would be a high rate of pay and benefits?
