    September 16 Town Board Agenda

Town clerk Diane Terranova has recommended waiving the town's portion of marriage license application fees
for active duty members of our armed forces.

Thank you Ms Terranova for doing the right thing for our active duty members.

I am surprised by your comment Dan. I have known you to be, for the most part, a respectful and thoughtful poster.

Concerning your bracketed comment, I would simply observe that to measure the value of the tribute by the metric you seemingly suggest, appears to demean the service of each and every member of the armed forces, IMHO.

Members of the military are individuals that run directly into danger to protect us; they do not run for office to enrich themselves or a political party.

Each active duty service man and woman has only one life to offer in the defense for our freedoms. The service provided by the individual soldier, sailor, airman, marine, and coast guard member is indispensable to the cause of freedom, and each individual life is precious.

Perhaps you may wish to rephrase or otherwise clarify your comment?

I was just curious how many this affects? No need to jump on me about it.

I’m guessing that prior to this there was no real way to tell, was there a question on the app previously if you are active duty or not?

    You asked a valid question.

Thank you for responding to my invitation to "rephrase" or "clarify" your comment(s).

If your comment had been made without reference to specific numbers, very low ones at that, it would have needed no further amplification for my understanding.

In that connection, I am sure that you can appreciate my perplexity as to the intended issue to which you sought answer. In fact, the structure of your question apparently led another poster to reason your query in such an unintended manner:

Dan, I am sure that you agree with me that honors to our active servicemen, our veterans, and our war dead do not dwell in the unsavory political universe, but reside in the world of gratitude for their sacrifice, their patriotism, and their bravery, and merely serve as a further acknowledgement(s) of their well-earned glory.

Dan, I certainly did not jump on you...

Thank you for the exchange Dan.

And this trouble-making party hack is still refusing to answer this question:

    Can't answer "Breezy?"

Perhaps Professor Bruso will give it to you as a homework assignment?

    Hilarious!

Has that Terranova question dilemma got you that upset?

I'm not a psychiatrist "Breezy," but dude, it appears that you are becoming unwrapped.
