DMV - Registration renewal reminders won't be mailed any longer?

I receive an email from the DMV today

We are pleased to announce that the DMV is now emailing registration, driver license, non-driver identification card renewal reminders and inspection reminders to our customers.

We will no longer mail paper registration renewal reminders. This reduction in paper and postage conserves valuable resources and provides a more convenient service to our customers.

If you prefer, you can remain in the Electronic Reminder program and continue to receive paper registration renewal reminders.
Personally I'd prefer to receive paper mail for items like this.

I have much better ways to save money at government levels versus a stamp/couple slices of paper.
