Lack of natural gas pressure is becoming a State wide issue !

If your emergency natural gas generator isn't starting or running right - if your oven isn't heating correctly - you need to have your gas pressure checked. #Cuomo's war against natural gas is causing more issues than the main stream media is talking about.

National Grid hasn’t been providing new gas service to businesses and residents in #Brooklyn, #Queens and #LongIsland because of a standoff with the state over a stalled pipeline.

Sounds like it should read volume and not pressure. I had a generator installed and it was running rough from time to time.
tech came out and said the meter was a standard 200 cubic foot meter, generator was high draw and I had a gas fireplace added a few years back. An installer turned up the pressure at the meter to make up for lack of volume, not how that works, now the generator likes about 6 lbs and the pressure was at about 12 lbs at the meter, now too much pressure caused erratic operation. Solution; national fuel came out and installed a 400 cubic foot meter, brought the pressure back down to normal and now no problems. Cost about $100 for new meter, installed in 2 days.

I see you posted what related to your personal experience. Although their are many variables involved - like volume and pressure being delivered - Pipe sizes - length of pipe run - number of utilities on one feed - and so on !

But the article cited relates to lack of fuel being delivered or available for delivery to the customer.

When the supplier says "We cant service any new hook ups" - that is not something a consumer can fix regardless of up grade.

The problem we are having in #NYS is a #Governor who is using politics to push a agenda. We have a governor who is intent on leveraging his authority to block up grades and even line maintenance of natural gas lines !

He is also trying to block NYS and City pension funds from investing in natural gas funds ! If Mr.DiNapoli didn't push back against #Cuomo and not divest from Natural gas funds we would all have lost money as well .

Cuomo and his party friends are pushing for investment in foreign energy deals/funds . The Washington #Dems (Like John Kerry and others under Obama) had been and are still pushing for more funding of foreign energy joint venture projects guaranteed by US tax dollars.

I dont believe thats serving the needs of the consumer/taxpayer or voters in NYS. Whats gonna happen as building continues all over NYS - so far we see the affect on a ever increasing number of Counties/Cities/Burroughs !
