Cuomo signs bill to let illegals get driver licenses. I listened to some of these libs that wanted this to go through. so they can take their kids to school, go to work without needing a ride, buy food at the store. what part dont they get is they are not suppose to be here.
Driver's licenses would be "a game changer," according to Jorge Garcia, an immigrant from Long island who said he needs a car to get to his job in a warehouse. He has two children, both of whom are legal residents, and worries about being deported if he is caught driving without a license.

"This means so much to us, to my family," he said through an interpreter. "We won't have that fear of facing a judge if you get a ticket."

Cuomo had long said he supported the measure but on Monday cast doubt on the bill's fate Monday, saying he was concerned that U.S. immigration officials might try to obtain state driver's license data to target immigrants for deportation. He requested a legal review by the state solicitor general, who works for Attorney General Letitia James.

Trump says U.S. agency will begin removing millions of illegal immigran

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Monday that U.S. authorities would begin next week removing millions of immigrants who are in the United States illegally.

"Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States," Trump tweeted, referring to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. "They will be removed as fast as they come in," he said. He did not offer specifics.

There are an estimated 12 million immigrants who are in the United States illegally, mainly from Mexico and Central America.

Under a deal reached earlier this month, Mexico has agreed to take Central American immigrants seeking asylum in the United States until their cases are heard in U.S. courts.

The agreement, which included Mexico pledging to deploy National Guard troops to stop Central American immigrants from reaching the U.S. border, averted a Trump threat to hit Mexican imports with tariffs.

This is why the anchor law needs to be changed. Seems odd you can become pregnant in another country, illegally enter the country the month you are due and have your child here that is granted citizenship.

In order to obtain a drivers license you will need to be age 16 or older. To get a learners permit, driver license, or non-driver ID for the first time or to renew a license or identification that has been expired for more than two years, you must:

1. Prove your date of birth with a certified copy or original birth certificate. See form ID-44 Proof of Identity for other acceptable proof.

2. Have your social security card with you.

3. Prove your name and address by submitting one or more documents that total 4 points. See form ID-44 Proof of Identity for other acceptable proof and point value.

Bring the required documentation along with a completed Form MV-44 to the nearest Erie County Auto Bureau.
