    Town Board pre-file resolutions – June 17, 2019

    Spot on, IMHO!

    Windsor Ridge South Phase II
(Rescind of Negative Declaration issued in 2007)

The Town Board finds that there are substantive changes proposed for the Project, that new information has been discovered related to the Project, and that changes in circumstances related to the project arise; that were not previously considered and the lead agency determines that a significant adverse environmental impact may result, as follows: The floodplain maps have changed. Two maps have been revised in two municipalities. The Project presents drainage concerns. The wetlands have grown and two sections of wetlands are not identified with hash marks. The changes to the proposal include the removal of the Brunck Road connection, which has the potential to create traffic and access issues. There are cumulative impacts related to increased demand on community resources. The project sponsor has increased the number of lots. Increases in wetlands impacts are anticipated. Lots now have homes within wetland buffers. Traffic patterns have changed considerably over the past 12 years in the area. Certain vegetation on the Project site needs to be protected. The project sponsor recognizes these significant changes and the need for rescission of the negative declaration.

    Siebert Road Subdivision
    (Positive Declaration issued)

Based upon a thorough review and examination of the known facts relating to the Project and its careful review of all potentially adverse environmental impacts, and the entire record and proceedings relating to the Project, the Town Board finds that the Project may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and that a draft environmental impact statement shall be prepared.

Proposal to install three (3) ADA door operators at Town Hall

    WHEREAS,
by letter dated June 4, 2019, Park Crew Chief, Michelle Barbaro has recommended that the Town of Lancaster accept the proposal from Imperial Door Controls, Inc. to furnish and install three (3) ADA Door Operators within the Town of Lancaster’s Town Hall for an amount not to exceed $8,744.00 per their proposal dated May 20, 2019.

The development in windsor ridge has caused the amount of water in slate bottom creek to skyrocket. I've seen the creek over 100 feet wide when it's normally a trickle.

This phase of the project has been contentious since 2007 and was not developed back then because of lack of sewer capacity – a deficiency that was denied by the developer and supported by an ex water commissioner but challenged by some of us residents and proven valid.

The proposed area of development has a floodway and adversely impacted Slate Bottom Creek and neighboring resident properties even back then.
Here we are 12 years later and the correspondence from the Erie County Planning Commission has added more negative impacts and concerns.

Fortunately, the town now has Town / Planning / Zoning Boards and a Building Inspector that are much more diligent and dedicated to following environmental practices and vehicular traffic designs that best serve the community and not the developer (as in the past). Whatever hardships the developer is now encountering were there 12 years ago, have become more significant over time and he and his 'expert' wetland delineators, engineers and planners have had all those years to mitigate them.

I just walked through Windor Ridge yesterday morning. This was the first time that i had been through there that not one house was being built. There's one sad lot left that was the dumping ground for all other lots in the past decade.

Is that the lot on Worthington Ln near Chestnut Corner where the lawn needs mowing, weed whacking or brush hogging?
