In a 2017 interview with the Amherst Times, then-candidate John Bruso described himself as a "conservative Democrat."
In light of Mr. Bruso's rather liberal voting record, I believe that those words were lacking in authentic passion and were applied with a deceptive opportunism."I am running for this legislative seat to bring honesty and transparency back to our district. As a conservative Democrat I am personally ..."
I am of the opinion that Mr. Bruso's apparent support for "Green Light NY" is inconsistent with the values held by the hard-working, law-abiding , genuinely conservative Democrats, who strongly hold a deep and abiding respect for the rule of law, and the integrity of our electoral process.

I note your Release is dated June 21, 2019.
That does not explain Bruso's previous actions suggested in this June 6, 2019 Todaro Release:
Is it possible that Todaro may have convinced Bruso to change course?

Sounds like a lot of political walk-back, barometer reading, double-talk and bunkum to me.
How about, "When In Doubt, Don't?"
If Bruso was uncomfortable or concerned about the wording of the original resolution, why did he not vote "No" or "Present" on it, or wasn't Poloncarz there to whisper in his ear?
Or, perhaps the Clerk of the County Legislature needs to spend more time on top of the people's business?
