Bronx lawmaker Jose Serrano: Make NY a sanctuary state - Breezy!?

This is a good example of "Nipping it in the bud" before it even gets started. So Breezy, do the exdems.com support this type of legislation? If so, why?

Bronx lawmaker Jose Serrano: Make NY a sanctuary state

Illegal immigrants would get sanctuary across New York state under a plan being pushed by a Bronx lawmaker, who says the timing is right to expand the controversial policy already in effect in the Big Apple.
Democratic state Sen. Jose Serrano Jr. is sponsoring a bill to prohibit cops from holding non-citizens for deportation by the feds unless they’ve been convicted of serious or violent crimes in the past five years.

New York eyes becoming a sanctuary state for undocumented immigrants

ALBANY - A bill in the state Legislature would let immigrants in the country illegally avoid detainment by federal authorities in most cases, making New York a so-called sanctuary state.

The legislation has been considered at the state Capitol for several years in various iterations, but has gained new prominence amid the federal debate over immigration and Democrats taking control of state government this year.

While several upstate cities have deemed themselves sanctuary cities because they limit enforcement of immigration laws, the bill sponsored by Sen. Jose Serrano, D-Queens, would extend the same protections statewide.

The bill introduced Thursday would prohibit New York authorities from detaining immigrants in the country illegally based on the efforts by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

New York State is already a sanctuary for crooked politicians...already thousands of citizens who contributed to the system are (or have already left) leaving, the infill will be those who live off the system...well...just like politicians...so it's a no brainer!

This is why I think it's time to get like a roll call on all the elected officials in Erie County. Where do they stand on this and then decide how we stop this nonsense.

Maybe you can do a service for readers and call all the local politicians as simply ask them.

Chances are slim that anyone would support the idea.

Seems like just another way to attack normal-thinking Democrats, when in reality, one crackpot from NYC mentioned the idea.

And it still takes forever to get around during rush hour!

Especially in Amherst, Lancaster and Cheektowaga.

Can't say any of them are moving vans.

    Go figure.
