Kelly Van De Mark announced 4th Ward run

LOCKPORT: Has received backing of GOP, Independence and Conservative parties.

Kelly Van De Mark, who briefly served as 4th Ward Alderman late last year, announced Monday she is running for a full-term.

Van De Mark, 39, was appointed to the 4th Ward post last October to fill in for David Wohleben, who left his alderman post to temporarily replace former Mayor Anne E. McCaffrey. At the start of this year, Wohleben returned to his 4th Ward seat, and Michelle Roman — who beat Legislature Chairman William Keith McNall, the Republican nominee — became mayor for the final year remaining in McCaffrey's term.

Last month, Wohleben announced he would challenge Roman for a full-term, leaving open the Republican party nomination for that council seat.
