No but I would doubt it....the Nazi's stole everything and used it to their benefit.

The Nazis stole the straight arm salute from the Italian Fascists, who in turn took it from the ancient Roman legionaires. It goes back that far.
But did you ever notice that while those "good Chermans" were giving the straight arm salute, the big cheese was awful lazy in his return salute.
Looked like he was waving "Aw $h!t"...

If you listen to the audio, and visit the website ...Dr Currey does provide some evidence to support:

    1) the pictures taken were in the US prior to WWI <HERE>
    2) the romans didnt use that salute <HERE>

You probably know this too- the Swastika was taken from an Amerindian tribe, and turned 45 degrees.

Here's one that most don't know...Hugo Boss designed the Nazi uniforms.

The title of this thread is misleading. We're halfway to plain old socialism here already. Despite the best efforts of the feds, we aren't near National Socialism.

Maybe, but where did the Hindus and Tibetans get it from then?
I have read that examples of the swastika are found in most ancient cultures around the world.

When I first got to Korea, I saw it everywhere and thought wth!!!???? The Germans turned it to face the other direction, but I'm pretty sure it was, like you said, taken from the Buddhists, not native Americans

I was just about to post the same thing, lol, it really freaked me out to see the flag, just goes to show that just because a certain thing means something to our culture it doesn't always mean that to everyone else
