    Breezy? - I need help

    Breezy,

How can I find who if any person locally is organizing the IP party? Or is it just state wide?

I have been receive request like this:

To whom it may concern: There are 2 excellent candidates who are running for the Town of Aurora Councilmember positions: Luke Wochensky and James Granville. Kindly contact me relative to the petition process for have their names on the Independence line in the primary in June and the general election in November. Thanks
    Good evening,

Could you please share how a candidate can apply for the Erie County Independence Party endorsement?

    Thank you,

I believe it is just state wide - Frank MacKay grants the endorsements. Sorry - I know I am not Breezy.

    You are fine

I see this is the state website. Seems like a shame not to have an active group in Erie County.

I snagged this domain when the local group forgot to pay for it. I think Tony Orsini was running it at the time. Can't remember.

    I see this

    Clarence Independence Party
    Chairperson:
    Albert Festaiuti

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) – A bill introduced by downstate lawmakers would prohibit political parties from using the words “independent” or “independence” in the names.

Essentially, it would force the minor party known as the “Independence Party” to change its name. This party is represented by nearly 500,000 people in New York State, including approximately 28,637 registered voters in Erie County – 4.8 percent of total voters in the county.

So if you look at this link you'll see a few people referring to the IP party. So you think they are contacting the state group no one locally?

The documents listed on this page are for reference only. Filing of a document with the Erie County Board of Elections does not guarantee acceptable format for candidacy.
As a result the official list of candidates will be available after any objection and/or court proceedings have concluded.
