Concerns of the Town of Cheektowaga taxpayers

Town Board meeting TONIGHT 12/27/2018 7pm in town hall council chamber. Here is the link to the agenda packet, notice all the part time pay at $11.10/hr, that is the new min wage rate for 2019 and that will increase again in 2020. This does contribute to your taxes increasing.

This should be listed as salaries for 2018 in one column and then salaries for 2019.

    Example:

    Town Engineer

    2018 $87,197 New base salary 2019 $91,487 With a percentage/dollar amount of the increase

Also a line for the cost increase per employee for health insurance increases/bene's per employee

The true cost per position. This way we can get a better handle on what corrections need to be made to lower our property taxes. We are losing population and honestly we have repairs that are needed around town.

Just because a year of time flew by doesn't justify a salary increase.

    Good job. Thank you..

You see my point with this?

It would give a clearer picture on the management of our town.

Council Office Clerk Stenographer $57,500 + Bene + Health Insurance. Correct?

Let's say the position receives family coverage + bens and clocks out at about $80k

Looks like there are 24 board meetings.

    $80k / 24 = $3,333 per board meeting.

Does the town stenographer perform other duties besides town board meetings?

Are there local companies that provide this service on a hourly basis?
