BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - We know who Carl Paladino is, but most other New Yorkers don't have a clue.

A new Siena College Research poll shows the businessman turned candidate for Governor is unknown to 76 percent of voters statewide. Attorney General and Democrat Andrew Cuomo, who still hasn't officially announced his candidacy, holds a commanding lead over Paladino's two Republican challengers, Rick Lazio and Steve Levy.

The Tea Party movement has thrown its support behind Paladino and now we're getting a clearer picture of the people stirring the pot. A Siena College poll says 19 percent of New Yorkers consider themselves supporters of the movement for less government and lower taxes. Those supporters are overwhelmingly Republican, Conservative and from Upstate.
