    How corrupt is New York?

Not that the local station that purports to hold people in power accountable would ever cover it because they’re busy hounding the Cheektowaga highway superintendent over a rain storm, but I was reading a story the other day that shows exactly how deep the corruption runs in New York.

In 2015, the Manhattan DA, Cyrus Vance, was investigating Harvey Weinstein for playing grabass with some actress who had filed then a complaint. The investigation was proceeding apace, including an NYPD tape of Weinstein admitting his action. The law firm defending Weinstein, headed by David Boies, prominent Dem attorney who represented Al-Gore, paid $55000.00 to Vance’s campaign and, like magic, Vance decided that there was no evidence of guilt and ended the investigation. Forward a couple years and law enforcers are on Weinstein like flies on a dead dog’s eye and every Dem politician, many of whom benefitted mightily from Weinstein’s $$$ & fund raising, were now trying to hose him for actions they’d all been aware of for years.

Into the fray steps our hero, Il Douche, who asks Attorney General Schneiderman to launch an investigation of Vance. After all, if any state official was intimately familiar with the sexual abuse of women it was Eric Schneiderman. Vance, badly burned by accusations that he had taken his foot off the gas before, is now prosecuting Weinstein for everything from the Kennedy assassination to jay walking. Meanwhile, the AG’s Office continues it’s investigation of Vance’s conduct in 2015. Comes June 2018 and Boies’s law firm makes a $25000.00 gift to Il Douche’s campaign. A week later, Il Douche sends a letter to his stooge, acting AG Underwood, requesting that the investigation of Vance be “suspended” so as not to “ endanger” Vance’s prosecution and upcoming trial of Weinstein. This has the dual advantage of currying barrels of favor with the prosecuting attorney and prevents development of proof of a prior attempt by Weinstein’s agents to influence Vance, which could be construed as evidence of a guilty mind. Hardly a word about it in the WNY press.

How would one effect the other?

How would continuing the investigation possible endanger Weinstein's issue?

If Vance gets indicted in the middle of prosecuting someone I'd say that'd likely cause a mistrial in any case he was directly involved in.

Like has been said many times before - its nice to have a justice system completely controlled by ones Party playin friends ! Why do you think the FBI transferred Hillarys investigation into the NYS FBI and AG offices ?

In New York City, where the charity is based, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, is reportedly probing the investigation

Was the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information cooked from the very beginning? According to the New York Post, FBI agents investigating Hillary Clinton’s use of an unsecured, private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State were required to sign unprecedented non-disclosure agreements prohibiting them from disclosing anything about their investigation of Hillary.http://thefederalist.com/2016/07/13/...llary-clinton/

The payola seems to be working. Now that Vance is no longer subject to state investigation, his office has already agreed to the dismissal of the most serious and most provable charge against Harvey. That was a claim of rape of some nobody actress by Harvey. Turns out she willingly gave ol’ Harvey a hummer as a thank you for a part and they had a long term relationship, at least according to the evidence including what she told her friends. But wait, Vance’s office failed to provide this exculpatory evidence to defense counsel as required by law, a requirement known by even casual watchers of Law and Order. Now, defense counsel are challenging all the rest of the charges claiming that the investigation is permeated with corruption. Two female ADA’s working on the case have left the Manhattan DA’s office in the last 6 weeks or so. Stay tuned for further developments.
