Sheridan Drive Median Maintenance?

Hey, Tonawanda peeps, I drive Sheridan Drive a fair amount. I noticed that the grassy median is always highly maintained... cut, trimmed, even the slightest bit of trash/wrappers are meticulously picked up, flowers hand watered, etc. I see it's usually "kids" with some Tonawanda department doing most of the work.

What's the deal? Does the money come from Tonawanda taxes?... Does the State pay?... Is there some kind of grant?

My guess is that it’s Tonawanda money because pretty much everywhere north of Westchester state rights of way look like ****.

If you look at some of the medians in Cheektowaga I would agree with grump. They look pretty bad. Weeds, trash is some cases and broken concrete.

Yeah, That's kinda why it makes such an impression. As a rule, those median things must be more of a headache than anything for municipalities. But the Sheridan Drive medians are really eye-catching. Whatever/whoever/however it's accomplished, thumbs up to TofT for a job well done.
