July 4 Village of Lancaster events. The Last year in the Historic Village.

I hope all of you can stop in and visit the many events in the Village of Lancaster Independence Days. The property has been sold and this is the last year of the beer tent, rides, games, and food. The show will go on next year but at a different the location. I am checking the July 4 parade line up and now I am checking it twice. It is going to be a really big show. A big thank you to all the event staff who will be braving heat to keep the parade in order. I never realized the effort and time it takes to put this event together. KUDOS TO DAWN GACZEWSKI! She is really focused on the safety of the children in the parade and watching from the sides.A larger turnout is expected due to the weather, entertainment, and Other towns and villages canceling their former events. The security has also been increased.

Happy 4th of July and God bless America! image.jpg

I look forward to meeting all the Veterans, volunteer firefighters, floats ,marchers, and politicians at the check in and arranging them in their proper order. Weather will be hot and I will have coolers with water at the Court street school check in area for all the participants in the July 4parade.

This was very necessary and appears to have been prudently confronted.

Also, with the anticipated large number of non-Lancaster participants, I hope that there is increased vigilance on the part of the LTPD throughout the village.

Greg, for your consideration, I do have a suggestion for the parade participant order of march:

    Veterans

    Volunteer Firefighters

    Floats

    Marchers

    Any Equestrian Units

    NY State Senator

    NY State Assembly Member

    County Legislator

    Town Council Members

    Village Board Members

    Sanitary Policing Personnel

Usually there are dozens of spectators across the street by now securing their spot to watch the race.

A few showed up over there but not usual crowd. I sat outside 5 minutes. That was enough for me and my elderly dog.
