I hear that our Highway Superintendant and Deputy have gotten themselves into hot water again. Apparently they did a favor for a "friend" with highway workers, equipment and material last Thursday at Creekside Banquet Facility. Apparently they filled in a pond and graded the property on our dime, AGAIN. Id like to put Charlie's name as one to blame, but I go back to the assurances we got from the Town Supervisor of what a honest and stand up guy he is when hired...and just can't bring myself to think he'd be involved!

That's the most absurd thing ive read on here in quite awhile...So Jerry Runs highway now? He's the decision maker at Highway? I guess in the end someone will have to answer for it? Correct? I would assume if they were out of town the only one who could make a stupid decision to do work on private property in the absence would be their friend Diane...

That's a great question that I cant answer..someone had to tell the employees to go do the work, correct? If the Sup and Deputy were not in town, who was in charge?

I asked Jerry and response was one BIG laugh about him being involved.

Anyone with any knowledge of the town knows there is no love between Mark Wegner and Charlie with Jerry. All I see is more Deflection and blame from a department with no knowledge or care for repercussions in what they do.

He also went on to ask what would anyone else do if a taxpayer came to the town with a complaint about highway once again doing work for property owners with town resources? His statement was it has to be looked at, and investigated for any wrongdoing, correct? Or do they just let it go and become the normal operating procedure? If memory serves me correctly The town board investigated Highway for this before..then passed Resolution RES-2015-100 so that this doesn't happen?


All I want to know is who authorized it and why when its against town policy. Maybe the Gorilla authorized it?
