Sweet Home Central School District has been informed by the Amherst Police Department of an armed man spotted on Commerce Drive in the Town of Amherst.
As a precautionary measure, Willow Ridge, Heritage Heights and the High School have been placed in LOCKOUT.
LOCKOUT means that no one is allowed to enter or leave the building and regular school activities continue.
Parents are asked to not travel to the school buildings to pickup their children.
As more information becomes available, we will communicate it home.

No idea. There's a chopper overhead now. Blue and white with gold lettering but I wasn't able to read the lettering to see which agency it's from.
