    Michael Caputo Legal Fund

Michael R. Caputo, 56, is a devoted husband and father to his family. Active in Immaculate Conception Parish, he lives and works in the village of East Aurora, New York. He is a member in good standing of the Town of Aurora Republican Committee, in the Erie County Republican Committee of the New York Republican State Committee, an affiliate of the U.S Republican Party.

Michael has long been a patriot and served our country honorably as a U.S. Army Specialist, a staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives, and on international assignments to support U.S. Government policy. Michael has been a passionate advocate for conservative GOP ideals and served on the staffs of national Republican luminaries including Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, George H.W. Bush, and Dan Quayle.

Michael worked with Donald J. Trump in the years leading up to the 2016 campaign and advised him on various projects. During the presidential campaign, Michael was Trump’s New York State Primary Director, Senior Advisor to the candidate, and Director of Communications for Caucus Operations at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Donald Trump was elected President of the United States in November 2016, thanks to his plan for victory, his campaign staff’s execution of this plan, and the American people’s commitment to his agenda to Make America Great Again. Since Election Day, Michael has remained in the national media as a frequent, prominent, and energetic advocate for the President of the United States and his courageous reforms.

President Trump’s defeated political opponents have sworn to disrupt his presidency at all costs, even by creating, inspiring, and organizing federal investigations of bogus allegations of collusion between his winning campaign and Russia. While Michael is neither a subject nor a target of any government probe, he is considered a witness to this imagined behavior

Consequently, Michael has endured hours of redundant testimony before various US Government bodies, each time requiring many hours of highly specialized and expensive legal assistance.

Thus, he has incurred tens of thousands of dollars of legal bills while defending the GOP and the President of the United States. Experts predict that his legal fees could exceed $125,000.

“I think the establishment that’s been entrenched in Washington for so very, very long on both sides of the aisle, they can’t have another Donald Trump pop up in 10 years, another billionaire populist who wants to make things right in Washington,” Michael told Fox News Channel’s Martha MacCallum last September 19. “So they have to punish Donald Trump, his family, destroy his businesses, his friends — where I guess I fit in — just to make sure that this never happens again.”

The next day Rush Limbaugh said: “Caputo here is more right than he knows.”

Caputo’s mortgage payments, power bills, and college-fund deposits now must take a back seat to the invoices of high-priced attorneys. These professionals help Michael cope with relentless demands for documents and testimony from deep-state actors who pride themselves on tormenting President Trump and his supporters.

Please take a stand for justice and the Trump presidency and support one of his most loyal allies: Michael Caputo.

This GoFundMe account will gather money to help Michael Caputo and his family pay these unfair and inescapable legal bills spawned by the endless and pointless “Trump/Russia collusion” probes.

Please give generously. Thank you very much.

P.S. I am not in any way affiliated with a political party, booster or specific group for the purposes of this GoFundMe. I am a local Buffalonian trying to help another local Buffalonian. The funds will be delivered in person to a member of his trustees, several of which I either know or my family knows very well. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Good job.
Wow, they've raised twice as much as the goal - $260,000. I'm so happy for him and his family. He had said that he may have to leave the area to earn more money to pay this enormous debt.
Maybe, he can now stay near his dad and not have to uproot his family.

Doesn't he own a public relations firm and is a partner in a communications firm?
As far as WBEN, isn't he just a fill-in for Sandy Beach?

He could pay his bills if it wasn't for the legal expenses of this democratic witch hunt

Anyone know the tax implications of GoFundMe? Is it income? Nothing to do with Caputo. Just curious about these things.

Donations made to GoFundMe campaigns are usually considered to be "personal gifts" which, for the most part, aren’t taxed as income in the US.

However, there may be particular case-specific instances where the income is in fact taxable (depending on amounts received, use of the funds, etc.), so we recommend that you maintain adequate records of donations received and consult a tax professional to be sure. GoFundMe will not report your donations as income at the end of the year, or issue any tax documents. Because everyone's situation is different and tax rules can change from time to time, we’re unable to give any tax advice.

He does work. And if he wasn't being called to Washington he could work more, plus he wouldn't have any legal bills to pay.

They is why it's tough to fight "government". They have your money to use against you. They can hire a lawyer using all the tax money they want.

This is why we should be able to sue town officials "Directly" versus suing like a "town" for their actions. Make them defend themselves.

In this thank-you letter, he says people were so generous that
There was enough left over to pay0 the legal fees of another
Trump campaign worker also being questioned who also has
Mounting legal fees. What a GREAT GUY - he didn’t keep the excess
Donations - he helped out his friend in the same situation!

Also, now that Caputo has been made whole - He is emboldened to
Stand and say “there’s ANOTHER informant!”

    Dear Friend:

And I mean that - we may have never met, but our family considers you a true friend. What you and 6,000 others have done by donating to our legal fund was the true meaning of friendship: you saved us, selflessly, from an unknown fate.

We were buried in legal bills, the Mueller investigators knew it, and they were relying upon our fear of more fees to keep me quiet.

But you changed everything. Now, our bills are paid, and we’re not afraid of more. Now they can’t shut me up.

Now, in fact, we are helping other Trump associates also caught up in this bogus investigation. Today we agreed to pay JD Gordon’s legal fees. JD is my friend, too - a military veteran who directed the President’s campaign policy team. He’s testified several times, incurred daunting legal fees. And you paid them.

I will help more Trump backers with their investigation legal fees, I will continue to speak up for the President, and our family doesn’t have to leave our home in the beautiful village of East Aurora, New York where I grew up.

I have you to thank for that, my dear friend. All the best from me, my wife Maryna, and our beautiful daughters. We will never, ever forget you.

    Grateful forever,
    Michael Caputo

When this witch hunt is all over, those affected should sue those responsible for legal costs
