Interesting work session. A police lieutenant who had 4.65 years with the department of corrections wanted to absorb those years into his future retirement. The Dept of Corrections retirement isn't as affluent as the Town of Lancaster police department's retirement. To bring the value of the DOC's to the LPD's would be an additional $41,700. This lieutenant will pay the town $41,700 and the town will remit that amount to the retirement system. They will have a resolution at the next meeting. It's no cost to the town.

There is one caveat. Senator Gallivan and Assembly woman Wallace will have to sponsor a bill
to the effect of what was stated. The bill has to pass both houses as well as have the governor's signature.
