The company will hold a hiring event at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on June 13, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Open positions include production/manufacturing operators, electrical/mechanical technicians and process engineers. You can register for the event here.
Last July, the company announced it would hire 300 workers here in Western New York to help with solar production. Half of those workers were set to be hired by August 2017, the other half were supposed to be hired by March of this year. It is unclear whether Panasonic fulfilled that pledge or if this hiring event will help them meet that employment goal.

People who wonder if the glass is half empty or full miss the point. The glass is refillable.
In fact, no one knows if they’ve actually hired anybody. There’s always a “job fair” upcoming but never an accounting of how many jobs our $750 million actually bought. With all the talk this week about legalized gambling does anyone know if there’s a book running an over/under on how long it will be before Tesla finally goes ka-boom?
