If you asking whether it has been ascertained that he has received confirmation from the Conservative or Independence Party in writing, then no because neither party transmits endorsements through written communiques - which is why I wrote 'if'.

    This week's Lancaster Bee -

Lancaster Judge Jeremy Colby has been endorsed by the Erie County Conservative Party for re-election as Lancaster town justice. Colby was first elected as Lancaster justice in 2014. Colby is a partner at Webster Szanyi, where he represents municipalities, school districts and law enforcement.

The announcement was a long time in coming especially considering Judge Colby is deserving of re-election. Hopefully such announcement should follow shortly from the Independence Party.

    Colby’s bio is quite impressive:

    • Presided over thousands of matters; criminal, small claims, housing, traffic cases, etc.
    • Increased revenues by tens of thousands of dollars and cut thousands in expenses (reduced court reporter costs by 50%)
    • Arraigned suspects and signed search warrants in the middle of the night
    • Sentenced people to community services at churches, VFW, LVAC, St. Mary’s Cemetery, and Boys & Girls Club
    • Practiced law since 1999: represents municipalities and law enforcement officers and agencies at Webster Szani LLP
    • Former Eric County Attorney unanimously confirmed by Legislature
    • Former law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Hon. John T Elfin

In my mind, Mr. Colby personifies ethics in today’s political world.

Getting political party endorsements in today’s world is no guarantee in getting voting line representation. Everyone is getting petitions required to challenge everyone on any political line in the September primaries. So, good luck Judge Colby!
