So far as of the middle of 2006 when I started logging the crimes that have been covered up there have been......

6 people murdered

about 36 people either shot or shot at

There have been 19 people stabbed.

19 people robbed by people with weapons (armed robbery)

And 20 incidents involving gun related crimes.


All in a city of about 50,000 people.

late last year ('05) the news had a story of a dude gettin killed out there and they said it was niagara falls first homicide since 2004. obviously this got nothin to do with this year or what you wrote. just shows they picked it up a little

True they might pick some things up here and there but that shows how innaccurate they are when it comes to reporting it. Maybe the report you saw was in the beggining of 2005 because we have more than 1 murder a year. We may not have a lot but we dont have a large population either.

2000 - 2 murders

2001 - 4 murders

2002 - 3 murders

2003 - no info

2004 - 4 murders

2005 - 4 murders

Plus we also have a lot of non fatal shootings too, and I dont know how many of those we've had for those years.
