Christopher misrepresented her time on the board on her LinkdIn account

She was not on the board from July 8, 2013 through June 8, 2015. She added 2 years to her resumé.
She was Vice president during the 2011-12 school year not 2013.

Good catch gorja, but it surprises me because she is pretty good with details.

I wonder as the years go by, less folks are showing interest at these board meetings because if you show a different opinion, I understand it is not well received. I hear also, parents are going directly to the district office with their complaints or to the media because the board forum essentially is not working efficiently.

The LCSD BOE meetings are no less attended than they were prior to the Redskin name change and because of the unruly meetings that took place thereafter where the Superintendent and BOE members were intimidated and threatened by protesting malcontents making outrageous and unfounded claims.

This resulted in the board cancelling the initial public hearing on the agenda items because speakers were speaking on anything but – a move that was upsetting to some who did address agenda items.

Tiring of the same lot of individuals rambling on often with outrageous claims blaming the Superintendent and BOE with supercilious charges of mismanagement on matters not under their province, speakers at the public comment session were now obligated to sign in to speak and are being held to a rigid five minute time limit.

Residents addressing the BOE are still allowed to speak on any matter for five minutes. What’s changed? The BOE is not shutting down free speech or inhibiting transparency, it is demanding relevance and respect – which is the same as expected by the town board.

The BOE was unfairly being castigated by a small group whose best interests weren’t being served – and being undermined from within which may soon end.

    From the Lancaster schools site

Due to unforeseen technical difficulties, video of the May 7, 2018 candidates' forum, annual budget meeting, and regular board of education meeting are unavailable at this time. In order for interested constituents to have the information prior to the May 15 vote, we are posting audio files of the three sessions, as noted below.

2018 Board of Education Candidates' Forum
Moderated by the Lancaster High School Student Union, with questions taken from the audience.

    2018-19 Annual Budget Meeting
Superintendent of Schools, Michael J. Vallely, PhD, and Assistant Superintendents, Marie Perini, Ed.D. and Miss Jamie Phillips outline the proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year along with program and curriculum highlights.

May 7, 2018 Board of Education Meeting
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education.

Speaker reading Mrs Christopher's bio -
"Mrs Christopher didn't think twice about raising her daughters in Lancaster."

Yes, she thought so much of the Lancaster school system that she sent her daughters elsewhere. for their education

Woof! A low vote count but certainly one that overwhelmingly indicates the district is putting out a good product - unlike Mr. Sojka's contention.

It also sounds like a vote of confidence for Dr. Vallely and the other administrators. Where is Sojka going to get his inside information from now?

It sounds like the community's message to Sojka and his cohorts is "Suck this"!

This vote seems to be a pretty clear referendum for the school district and the superintendent.

It is incontrovertible that the public buys into none of the misinformation that is published, but not supported, by certain posters on this site.

The vote is also a referendum on Mrs. C and Mrs. D, and the fact that the community is done with their disruptive behavior and downright deception and lies. Their grand standing and harassment from them and their crowd will no longer be tolerated.

Bring a positive message or go home

And don't expect disclosure from the district beyond what you would permit if it was you as an employee, or you as the parent of a child involved.

Understand that the district is providing appropriate disclosure to the public, and has the best interests of all involved, including the public.

The district actually considers the impact on all involved, unlike some posters that seem to have no appreciation or concern for the consequences of their actions.

Oh, that's right, your sources are about to to evaporate, so maybe the garbage will be curtailed.

Greg, it was interesting that you didn't even bother to stick around for the results. It appears that you lost confidence in your own message, or lack there of, and took your ball and went home. Many of us did feel badly for Mrs. C in that only a hand full of the former faithfull would even stay to consol her as she took one for the team. Pretty sad.

    Can't wait for your spin.
