Doesn't the town supervisor herself live off of the taxpayers?

One of those men is a retiree who worked at Bethlehem steel and the other is a retiree who worked at General Motors. How does that make them living off the taxpayers?

Back in August, Wegner wanted to eliminate the FT Deputy Highway Superintendent position to save over $1 million over the next decade and pay a $10,000 stipend to a deputy on an as needed basis.

Managing the business that is making the sandwiches, ordering goods, shopping for services/goods, marketing the business and managing cash flow isn't the same as the actual person putting mayo on your sandwich.

Someone needs to investigate more about Charlie Markel. What a joke when he was in office. Ask about the so called Zombie house he demolished on Henry street, the house the county had just sold to a young couple. What did it cost the town to pay for that house that he illegally demolished? Ask Charlie about the Grocery store HE ran.... Actually he was a clerk at the register and stock boy for his father-in-laws corner grocery store, a little corner store that went broke! Someone should check Erie County payroll! At the same time he didn't know he couldn't collect unemployment while employed by the Town, he also was on the payroll of the County. I don't think that ever came out, To the counties credit, they fired him as soon as they found out he was under indictment. Check with his neighbors on Frantzen, find out what a terrible neighbor he really is, Ask Charlie about the new lawnmower he "borrowed" from the town, the one he ruined mowing a private cemetery on Pine Ridge. How much damage was there to the footstone? It goes on and on, and now he gets a job as a Gorilla! I want a patronage job at the Water Authority so I can be a meter reader for 2 years and land a $80,000 plus job with Cheektowaga! This man should be in JAIL!!!

The two residents she referred to, Ronald Lorek and Dave Uzar, are retirees who worked at Bethlehem Steel and General Motors, respectively.

One of then for sure has been at every meeting I have attended and they should be given award for what they do that 99.99999999% of the town don't do...they ask questions to the board EVERY WEEK. They see things in town and question the board or make suggestions.

Diane is VERY wrong to single out these 2 in order to protect the friends and family that this town is addicted to hiring and covering up their miss doings.

I'm not a Cheektowagan but I really did think when Diane got into office that she would be different from the rest. But this remark she made, "These two town cryers come to every board meeting and complain about something while they sit home and contribute nothing to society except living off us taxpayers." is as bad as how Bob Giza spoke of the constituents who regularly came to the Lancaster board meetings. The remark was so disrespectful.
