can anyone go to these types of association meetings?
Is this the one?
Who will go? I read in the snooze today about a citizens group from the Town of Evans requesting an audit of expenses and abuse of spending by some town officials. I seem to recall that Shelly Belly vowed that "next year will be my turn". What possible reason can she have for wanting to go---except to party hardy with her friends Plunkett & Jaros. Plunkett has already been approved. Why? If we are being budget conscious, this is a good place to start. Mohan & Bucki were on the right track when they carpooled & paid their own expenses! I'd rather have my streets plowed than support Schratz in her attempt to drain the town coffers with her gluttonous agenda!

So now we have Plunket, Mohan, Bucki attending. Jones is requesting to go @ $1239.00, Jaros is requesting to go at $1457.00!!! With all these people going & the budget mess as it is, can we really afford to honor these requests? And Smelly Snatch seems to think this year is her "turn" to go. These requests must be limited!
Is Bucki still going now that Mohan wants Barry Weinstein as his new Deputy Supervisor? Also if this is legal, the hiring of Weinstein, does he have voting rights or privelidges since he wasn't voted in by the residents? Also how much more is this maneuver going to cost the town and is Debbie happy about her demotion?Originally Posted by Gandalf

Your questions are right on the money ! My guess is that some is reasearching the issue to see if it really is legal. Now... Don't forget the "Mohan factor." He is King and is not bound by any laws, unless he is challenged through the court system.

What if the Hokey-Pokey IS what it's all about?
It is legal to have someone who is not on the board to act as deputy. Boy, talk about a slap in the face to the other board members! At least he didn't pick Rabenold!
IMO... it is against the Town Charter. I would think that some one will reasearch that. It will be interesting to find out.Originally Posted by Gandalf

I've lost all my respect for Barry Weinstein knowing that he is attached in his usual fairweather friend mode to deformer Satish Mohan. Yes, this is the same Dr. Barry who was joined at the hip with and that used to send out political franking pieces containing photos of himself with Joel Giambra when Joel's popularity was soaring. Dr. Barry couldn't drop Joel fast enough when Joel fell from grace.
Dr. Barry hasn't had an original non-political idea in his public life which incidentally he started as a Democrart. Dr. Barry has shown that he is a self-serving chamelion. Dr. Barry has shown no original thought other than let's cut taxes and increase services, the same impossible blathering rant as deformer bloopervisor Satish Mohan espouses
It all sounds good, but unfortunately Dr. Barry like the Bloopervisor ungallantly toys with the high hopes they falsely instill in the weary electorate.
Giambra, like Mohan, and Weinstein haven't, can't and won't produce anything except spiralling taxes, demoralized workforce, and dangerous living conditions for Town residents. And Mohan simplistically claims he is not a politician.
I like "Bloopervisor!"Originally Posted by wnybillsfan

I still want to know how many town employees need to go on this junkett at taxpayers expense????
You know Shelly is going to push to go. She was really pissed when she couldn't go last year and she said she was going to go this year.

That's what's pissing me off. She wants to join the party with buddies Jaros & Plunkett AT OUR EXPENSE!! Each person requesting to go should be required to submit a detailed rationale of how their involvement benefits the town. Their itinerary should be outlined. Shopping at Macy's & Broadway shows really don't serve the taxpayers well! Now if we already authorized Plunkett to go, he should be representing our legal department. Why does Jones have to go? Plunkett should be mandated to report to the taxpayers via TB meeting exactly what new info he encountered. Mohan, Bucki & Jaros should do the same, as well as anyone else that we are bankrolling!! Please Mohan, Don't let Schratz go!Originally Posted by Dvoakley
I agree. But any employee that goes for training needs to submit a justification before hand, and when they get back to give or submit a report on what they have learned, and how they plan on using what they learned in their job, also what can be spread out across the organization to help it.Originally Posted by Gandalf
Besides this they should let management know if it was worth it, and who might benefit by going the next time.
