Applebee's & IHOP is closing 100's of their resturants, In Buffalo when something closes it says vacant forever & decays. Just about everywhere else, a new business moves in right away

On the Canandian side their's 3 new Skyscrapers including a 58 story breaking ground in the Spring as well as Go High Speed Rail Lines to from Niagara Falls Canada to Hamilton, Toronto, Montreal, Windsor, St Catherines are being planned, Also all of Cananda is ALS & Paramedic Level and the City of Niagara Falls NY and Niagara County FD's are not ALS or Paramedic Level either, so the Seneca National Casino's had to hire their own Paramedics & buy their Ambulances because they didn't want to get sued,

The city wasn't going to allow competition with the park that the Buffalo Billion was backing.We'll see how far Uniland gets with their plans for "WonderFalls". The city itself should be going after the crime in this city,Not focusing on development of attractions.And given the way this city works,I give the place a year before the locals turn it into a dump and it closes down.

Beautiful lakes, golf and skiing in the winter.
In the 80's they needed gambling to keep viable.
But Cuomo I decided that gambling was evil but abortion on demand was a right. (And mega bucks from AC helped form his views)
So the resorts degraded and closed taking thousands of jobs with them.
So now Cuomo II decides that the Catskills will be viable again.
I predict this resort will be bankrupt in 5 years.
All the resorts have been taking over by Chasidic Jewish illegal day camps.
Which have taken them off the tax rolls.
NY State has an ever increasing tax exempt property problem.
This was the main reason I sold my house in Ramapo NY in 2013 for $429,000.
I was lucky as I could easily leave as my kids were grown and I had a job waiting for me in Texas
Total property taxes back then were just over $13,000/yr.
My old house was just sold again in July of 2017 for $260,000
Yet the property taxes are now over $15,000?

Well WNY is dying for sure, that would explain why the people act like the walking dead and are as white as a sheet of paper, maybe the lack of Sunshine has something to do it.

The whole state is dying. Even NYC is covering over the flight of the productive by importing thousands of immigrants. However, unlike prior immigrant groups, the current group has no desire to work, be productive and better themselves. The Moslems were brought here in illegal numbers by Obama, Holder, Clinton, Sanders, Warren, Schumer and the other totalitarians specifically to help undermine the Western civilization that has provided the freedom and progress from which so many have benefitted. The rest are coming knowing that they will be immediately eased into public assistance and never half to lift a finger.

NF had a nice waterpark years back went there many times. Then it got very dark and was closed. They trashed it. It will be the same thing that will happen so why bother again.

I was still living in Philadelphia at the time this happened.I had a few friends who moved to New Jersey to get the holy grail of a casino job.At the time you had to be a NJ resident to work at the casino.And the one had told me that they were sweating the Catskills as it would take business away from AC.It's when they finally opened up hiring to anyone with a casino license or a clean record.He had said that there was a boatload of money headed Albany's way to put a stop to it.

NF had a nice waterpark years back went there many times. Then it got very dark and was closed. They trashed it. It will be the same thing that will happen so why bother again.

That was open when I had started going with my wife and was flying back and forth to visit her.It was a nice place,the only drawback was the seasons were too short for it and there really wasn't anything outside of a Pizza Hut around it.Then in typical NF fashion,The locals took over and trashed it and it went by the wayside like everything else in this city.Once I moved up here,I found out how political the city was and how nothing short of an act of God got anything built.Thats why I laugh every time they try to do something with the Rainbow Center.A guy like David Cordish who built and developed malls and properties all over the country,Gets shut out because he wants to use his own contractors.It's why this city will have to implode on itself before it can be moved forward.
