So Nancy Pelosi spoke on immigration for over 8 hours on the House floor. Of course when they do that sort of the thing the chamber empties out in heartbeat. The few left behind, the clerks, sargents at arms, pages and others who can’t leave almost certainly felt that they had died and gone to hell. Knowing what a dope Pelosi is I don’t even need to review the speech to know that it reaffirms the old adage that the less one has to say the longer it takes one to say it.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., held the floor of the House of Representatives for more than eight hours Wednesday to deliver a record-breaking marathon speech protesting a budget deal reached by Senate leaders.

Clad in four-inch heels, Pelosi spoke for eight hours and seven minutes and was given a standing ovation by her Democratic colleagues when she yielded the floor at 6:11 p.m.

"When you’re out there talking, it seems shorter," Pelosi told reporters as she came off the floor. "When you’re listening, it seems longer."

Do you have any information on how many Democrats remained to listen to Pelosi and gave her a standing ovation? If they believe she should remain and be the face of the liberal left, the Democratic Party is in serious shape.
