I assumed there was a prison library. Inmates could use a library computer for any access they need.
Am I the only one that sees a problem with this?
First off, the expense of setting up WIFI networks and configuring them jail wide... some of these prisons are quite large...
Figure your typical run of the mill base station at $60 each has a range of about, 600'
Multiply that be 50 prisons...
This is what happens when democrats are in charge.. its obvious the DOC has too much money to spend... and NYS tax payers are over taxed.

People have no idea of the cost to the taxpayers annually of defending against the frivolous lawsuits filed repeatedly by inmates in the state system. It’s not just the cost in Attorney time, the cost of transporting inmates when necessary, the strain on the judicial system that must respond to stuff that is pure unadulterated horse****. Anything that further enables them to act this way is another tax on New Yorkers.
