    Thank you Steven and Ragin' for bringing this to an succesful conclusion.

    What is the charge, please?

    I will let you know our number when I'm more certain if the Missus will be speaking to me that day.

    If it's free, you will not get an accurate count. Rez and I had more beer and hot dogs left over from the picnic than we could down in two weekends of hard trying. And we tried!!

    I respectfully suggest that you (we) charge five dollars, paid by check in advance with three dollars to be refunded at the door.

    Because you-all have done such a wonderful job of putting this together, I would not put the burden of this on you. I would be willing to take on this task myself, under your direction.

    Charging the $5.00 does two things: it winnows out those who are tentative; the $3.00 refund incentivizes people to actually show up.

    Again, thanks to Steven and Ragin for bringing this to an actual event!!

    The boss wants it stictly donation as far as I know. Im sure he will chime in once this post catches his attention.

    On a side note we are on the hook for 30 folks at a minumum as we have a private room and our own bar. I dont take donations I leave that to the pretty girls.

    Piano players please step forward
    People who wonder if the glass is half empty or full miss the point. The glass is refillable.

    I suggested that last year and also this year. Not only that but if you RSVP and donate a min amount before hand there is a better chance you will show and there will not be excess food left over because you ordered based on hear say "I will come...."

    Well......even if you proposed it, it still might be a good idea.

    Glad to see the event finalized the Date could have been better thought out though. For those who might want to take heed there is a Sabres game scheduled that night:

    Reserved room does not dismiss the possibility of a very crowded venue and or tight parking in and around that area.

    The sabres games have been soldout and because it is Sabres vs Pittsburgh there may be a significant number of people from out of town namely Pittsburgh.

    Buffalo Sabres vs. New York Islanders (SILVER) HSBC Arena Monday, 1/1/07
    4:00PM EST Buy Tickets
    Buffalo Sabres vs. Pittsburgh Penguins (SILVER) HSBC Arena Friday, 1/5/07
    8:00PM EST Buy Tickets

    Buffalo Sabres vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (GOLD) HSBC Arena Thursday, 1/11/07
    7:00PM EST

    So take the subway.

    Here's a program to help you navigate:

    The skinheads are at the LaSalle station;
    The bloods will be waiting for you at the Best station (prolly Utica too);
    The crackheads will be at the Allen station;
    The Theater District fundraiser bloodsuckers will be at the Theater Station.

    But there's plenty of free parking for you at the South Campus Station.

    I am not being a smart A.SS Biker, I am just pointing out the obvious. I am not that desparate to go if I have to park at UB and take the trolly in. Upchuck!

    The Lighthouse Room - 3rd floor

    We have our own private room on on the third floor with our own catering staff and bar/bartender. We have the only party going on upstairs as the room across the hall will be closed after 6pm. There is no other party scheduled after 6pm, as far as we've been told.

    So there's no need to worry about any potential crowds on the first floor as we have the entire third floor to ourselves with our own staff to cater to us.

    I think you and Steven have done a wonderful job, Ragin.

    (BTW-Is it true that we'll have to wait till 9:30 for the dancers to arrive?)

    How lame!

    Somebody named therising should be able to get to the third floor easier than anyone else.

    (For those of you from South Buffalo, the "lame" thing was a pun off of "ankles.")
