Then he claims that Rahm Emmanuel comes on to him and then threatens him (or vice versa). First this happened within 2 weeks of him coming to Washington, and then it's because he opposed the administration's health care plan.

It seems to me he may have a lot of skeletons in the closet and he's volunteering all sorts of vague "explanations" on things that would seem entirely unrelated to his sexual harassment accusation so as to get in front of, and provide a plausible explanation for whatever scandal might emerge next...

It was some kind of garbled stuff like that. The "story" just didn't make a whole lot of sense. It's like he's mad because he was accused of doing a staffer, so he's going to smear anybody and everybody he can and make up all kinds of excuses.

I totally agree he should know better. Sheesh, in this day and age, I would think that anybody with even half a brain would know that having an affair with somebody who works for you, especially if you are in public office, is like jumping on a runaway train.

I bet if Massa had just resigned with the cancer explanation and left with dignity, that 95% of the people in his district wouldn't have believed any other charges against him anyway. Now that he's done the talk show circuit, though, most of his constituents probably think he's nothing but another lying, crooked pol.

Most of his explanations sound plausible. A gin-n-tonic soaked New Years Eve wedding reception, and a drunken 50th birthday bash where all the guys end up dogpiling on top of the honoree.....nothing out of the ordinary in my eyes. He's even saying there are text messages with good-natured banter in them.


Here's a possibility - there's a homo in the woodpile....and it aint Massa. Maybe the accuser who is claiming sexual harrasment is themself of the lighter loafer

If you knew the man as I do you would know we have lost a valuable asset in the government. Both parties hate servicemen in the ranks and found a way to manage his exit which is unfortunate for America. What happened just goes to show how the beast feeds it's own and spits out that which won't digest. I wish Mr. Massa all the best in the future and know he tried to do his best.
