It looks like Apple is bringing back home nearly all of its $250 billion in foreign cash

Apple just announced on Wednesday it will bring back hundreds of billions of dollars from overseas to fund investment in the U.S. and likely increase its capital returns.
"Apple, already the largest US taxpayer, anticipates repatriation tax payments of approximately $38 billion as required by recent changes to the tax law. A payment of that size would likely be the largest of its kind ever made," the company said in the release.

Using the new 15.5 percent repatriation tax rate, the $38 billion tax payment disclosed by Apple means they are planning a $245 billion repatriation.

    Look at this recommendation....

Cuomo calls for new taxes and fees, review of pot prohibition

ALBANY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo, saying he wants to protect New York from an “economic missile” fired by the Trump administration, Tuesday offered a $168 billion budget that includes hundreds of millions of dollars in new taxes and fees and opens the door to a payroll tax.

The spending plan envisions a 3 percent increase for public schools, while the budget was less generous with the State University system, boosting its allocation by just 1 percent.

Cuomo also said he will set up a task force to review the practicality of legalizing marijuana, noting Massachusetts has already ended the prohibition against pot and New Jersey may do so as well.

Did the Erie County Democrats give us Obama? Just think if he didn't give Iran 150 billion. That 150 billion could have gone to the deficit NYS is facing.

Just think if the www.ecdems.com endorsed product was elected president. I'm pretty sure this would have happened.

, which makes everything from jet engines to thermostats, rose as much as 1.2 percent in morning trading to hit a record of $163.85.

The cash hoard will help fuel Honeywell's ( HON ) M&A strategy under new Chief Executive Darius Adamczyk, who is looking to bolster its core operations such as aerospace following the spin off its home and transportation businesses later this year.

"Our preference is for attractive bolt-on acquisitions," said Chief Financial Officer Tom Szlosek, who also promised "competitive" dividend and share buybacks using the repatriated cash.

Hillary Clinton protected '08 campaign adviser accused of sexual harassment: report

Hillary Clinton reportedly helped protect a senior adviser to her 2008 presidential campaign after accusations that he repeatedly sexually harassed a young subordinate.

The New York Times reported Friday on the incident, revealing how Clinton allegedly intervened to help keep the adviser, Burns Strider, on board.

According to the Times, the complaint was made by a 30-year-old Clinton staffer who shared an office with Strider. She reportedly told a campaign official that Strider had rubbed her shoulders inappropriately, kissed her on the forehead and sent suggestive emails.

I wonder if Jeremy Zellner and crew are watching what is going on and thinking "Boy did we dodge bullet".

Did you all hear the one about Hillary Clinton giving a sexual harasser who worked on her campaign a pass? It wasn't Bill...

There 's Jeremy....Andrew, Mark, Brian, Tim, oh and Mayor Brown. I'm actually ok with Mayor Brown. Tough situation he is in with the City.
