How ironic, McCabe thought there would be a "flood" of press once a government agency became "connected" to the dossier...their flood failed; Q's flood won't.

This is why McCabe was excited - CNN was going along with their plan. McCabe had put the FBI "brand" on the dossier, therefore passing it off as legitimate, news worthy and of interest to CNN.
