    Gov.Patterson to Step Down?

UPDATE: Business Insider now reports that a Paterson official denies that the governor will resign. The same source also says that while a "New York Times story is in the works," it will not run Monday.
    *******

Just days after rumors of a Paterson scandal hit a fever pitch, new reports claim the New York Times will publish their bombshell story on Monday.

    Writes Business Insider

We've now heard from a single source familiar with the goings on at the Governor's office that the story will likely drop on Monday, and that the governor's resignation will follow.

Yet just what the scandal is has yet to be defined.

Most media reports point to recent stories involving the governor and other women as signs of some sort of sex scandal.

In the past few weeks Paterson has allegedly been spotted "nuzzling" and "neck-kissing" with a woman not his wife, as well as allegedly getting caught in a compromising situation by a state trooper. The latter accusation is reportedly the reason behind Paterson's decision to ban state troopers from the Governor's Mansion.

Mirroring Paterson's own ascent to governorship following Eliot Spitzer's escort scandal, if the governor were to resign it is expected that Lieutenant Governor Richard Ravitch would fill his shoes.

I seriously wonder whether the democrat party leaders have something to do with this.

They have been pressuring him (state level, all the way up to Obama) not to run for re-election, but he repeatedly insists he'll still run. Now this mysterious scandal appears and his fellow party leaders are silent.

    color me skeptical.

We really have to get back to the days when we demanded integrity from our politicians. Character should mean more when selecting someone to represent the people. Or maybe we are getting the correct representation because the people are no longer character people with integrity!

You know I am actually speechless on this. Is this a real event or is it propaganda by the a political party?

I don't think it will ever happen.

I also don't think that the politicians have less integrity now - it's just that we know everything they do.

My partner and I were discussing this alleged "sex scandal" being thrown about lately. I mean, c'mon guys, the guy is blind. Completely blind. I just can't imagine that the words "Honey, you just don't do it for me like you did when you were 20" or "I need some variety in my life, I think I'll find myself a redhead..." are part of his vocabulary.

I'm not trying to poke fun at blind people, not at all. But seriously, do you really think the guy is screwing around on his wife?

He is legally blind, not totally blind. He has admitted to cheating on his wife and using drugs in the past. So could he be now? Maybe.

Let's take a totally blind guy and put two naked women in front of him. One is 50 years old, out of shape and overweight. The other is 25 firm and stacked. Do you think he would have a preference? (OK he's a politician: he'd take both) But seriously, eyesight alone isn't going to keep someone away from the hotties.

(Not that I think his personal life should really be a factor in his job anyway...)

The stuff coming out of Albany, it does make you wonder if this is propaganda because it is over the top now.

I mean NYS is messed up. People are moving out of this state and one of the reasons is of course taxes , but Albany is getting totally out of control and we may need intervention.
