What is the goal of presenting data?

You can't do anything with the current contract and why would they give up anything, to be nice people?

No I don't expect anything to happen, however what I do expect is that in front of a few hundred citizens in West Seneca a very valid point to be heard. If you don't bring up the points ever and put it in front of people nothing will change. I am pretty sure the tax hike will happen regardless, myself being the planner and budgeter that I am and have already made arrangements for my family so it does not affect us hard.

    1. I did not take it lightly when an independent advisor not even our town board stated to us, "the supervisors backs were up against the wall". If planning was better this town would not be in the position it is in. They challenged the residents to come up with 2.9 million dollars in savings. Well my data shows a difference of nearly 6 million dollars that they can save. Obviously its my opinion and I will state that, and everything can be debated in terms of importance or were current resources are currently going. However, 2.9 million dollars worth of savings.....check

If you don't bring up a point, it will never be addressed. It's the same way for a question, if you don't ask a question...you will always have the question and it will never be answered. Hoping to have my 5 minutes of whatever, because I do actually care. I've only lived in WS for 6 years, I built my house hoping to stay here forever.

Sorry I did not mean to make this sound like a angry rant here or imply anything else in terms of caring. I just reread this and realized how my early morning words may have sounded when taken in the wrong context. I just really don't ever understand why government can get as far off as West Seneca's is. It seems like the supervisors do not know things when you ask them, and the reluctance of them to answer others is ridiculous.

I've been to 5 town board meetings in six years...I don't monitor the website and it seems like you only hear about them before it is too late.

There are many in West Seneca who are on a fixed income for retirement. It's tough to rearrange a limited amount of money.

"the supervisors backs were up against the wall". I have heard comments like that before. In our town the go to statement is "Our hands are tied".

As of last night I presented my data. I would like to think it went over well on the board. I know it did with the citizens in the auditorium. My purpose was to not anger any individual but show every single person how mismanaged this town is becoming. The figures I presented are only one part. I am hoping some others can think of some other ideas/projects and we can work together to present topics. The purpose will be not to single out anyone, but show areas we as residents think the town can change. I will not get on board with anything which will demean or be derogatory toward any individual.

Mr. Hart agreed with me, he even invited me to join a citizens advisory panel.
Sheila Meegan said on the news that she does not feel West Seneca is bloated with salary and employees. Go to channel 4 and channel 2 to see her comments.

    - The figures I presented last night proved a different story. I wonder if she will reach out to me and discuss. I am going to do everything within my motivation to hold what they said up there to my points I was raising.

Bottom line is : The citizens in West Seneca need to represent themselves because this board is not showing in my opinion that it represents the 45,000 people of WS equally. There is so much room for reform and improvement. Accountability drives change PERIOD.

Pointing our incompetence is not demeaning or derogatory when that incompetence impacts so many people.

The groups that run our towns never feel there is bloat with salary or employees.

West Seneca residents angry — still — over proposed 12 percent tax hike

More than 400 West Seneca residents showed up Monday night to tell Town Board members the 12 percent projected tax increase is too much.

Obscene, disgraceful and an enormous jump, residents said of the budget at a public hearing that lasted more than three hours at West Seneca West High School.

There were some interesting comments on facebook to that story.

Tax hike from the people telling and begging you to vote no on the constitutional convention. Vote no and keep paying through the ass for benefits and pension cost. Enjoy

"Considering some changes in spending?" What a joke. How about the people who have to choose between buying medicine and food, or taking half their prescribed dose of medicine because they can't afford food and medicine and to heat their homes? These town officials should be impeached, then thrown out of office, here, now and today. For too long these losers have abused the taxpayers. Throw the bums out and get some decent leaders who will go over the budget with a fine tooth comb and SOLVE PROBLEMS not just ask for a tax increase. Anyone can ask for a tax increase. I would bring in a whole team of auditors to go over West Seneca's books with a fine tooth comb to see where all the money is being wasted. I'm sure if they look close enough they will learn plenty.
WNY is overwhelmingly Democrat. The biggest employers in NY are all public and government, big government. You have built this monster by buying into the socialist Democrat lie that they are the party of the worker. So stop your complaining and pony up. You did this to yourselves and it’s going to get a lot worse.

West Seneca Budget Tax Hike May Be Less

Go watch the video. I don't know why I can't embed their code.

    http://www.wgrz.com/news/west-seneca...ource=facebook

West Seneca, NY - The West Seneca Town Board faced a firestorm of pointed questions and criticism from taxpayers over its projected budget but some members now say the tax hike may be lowered below 8 percent instead of the original 12 percent figure.

That follows their second budget hearing which drew hundreds of taxpayers to the West Seneca High School on Monday night.

Taxpayers pelted the board and supervisor with questions about town expenses and why the board allowed them to get to a point requiring such an increase. Taxpayers say the board members stated there would have be a reduction of $2.9 million in costs to avoid the 12 percent increase.

Conservatively down to 8% with some cuts in services to residents.

You know how they will twist this? We saved the town 4%!!!!!!

But Hart warns again there could also be reductions in services for town residents.
Listen to video.. Health Care cost went for about $4 million to $7 million. The need to tackle the issue at hand. You can't give small groups of people a monopoly on services. It will never end.

If I can personally affect 2019 and 2020 that will make me feel good, honestly I get it is probably much to late to affect the fact that there cannot be a tax increase in 2018 but going forward everyone needs to be working to create attention on west Seneca holding them accountable. I surely will, my wife and I have decided it is not a wish of ours to move and run away from the town we moved to 5 years ago. My kids are happy in general in our home and life is good.

Can you explain your history and knowledge of Taylor Law a little?
A vast majority said the presentation of the data was excellent. Are you able to post?

I would like to post the data, the size of each jpeg is too large. I need to figure a way to shrink it or decompress it a little. I am not the best with that.

Convert it to pdf or zip file or use filemail A service where you can send large files via email for free (limited to a few uploads per day) email to yourself, Once you make the link you can post it here for all to download.

I can't use flickr.com from work so I will have to send these to myself and then upload from home. I will take care of that this evening.
