BMHA's Frederick Douglass apartments getting makeover

A Jefferson Avenue public housing complex is getting a $15 million makeover.
Work at the Frederick Douglass apartments, at Jefferson and Clinton streets, will begin in early 2018 and be completed by the end of the year, said Modesto Candelario, assistant executive director at the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority.
A total of 87 apartments in 19 buildings will get new kitchens, bathrooms, floors and windows, Candelario said. New roofs and heating systems are also planned.

    $15,000,000 / 87 apartments = $172,413 per unit...

Why are people in government so inefficient at doing what they do?

    Because it's not their money
Vote for freedom, not political parties.
    Politicians need to cut spending

Don't they realize now much richer individuals would be or how much more value for the buck we could have if money was spent wisely?

You have to be !! wise ..to spend money wi$ely...but then, they're appointed administrators..spending someone else's $$/taxpayers...so they dont need to be wise or have an ounce of common sense in their actions!

They have to realize what they are doing. How could someone have so little consideration for other people's hard earned cash.
