    And now it begins

Just drove by the Sheridan/Bailey area. Whole Paycheck is now open, let the craziness begin.

Hundreds line up for Amherst Whole Foods opening

AMHERST, NY - The first people staked their place in line before 6:00am, and when the doors first opened at 8:00 for the first ever Whole Foods in Amherst, the line was wrapped around the building.

More than 200 people turned out to the brand new store Friday morning, as anticipation for Buffalo’s newest shopping option has mounted over the past few weeks.

The new grocery store offers plenty of alternative options to Western New Yorkers.

Even their “ribbon cutting” ceremony had an unconventional twist: rather than splitting a ribbon with scissors, state and local leaders joined Whole Foods administrators to cut a massive loaf of fresh halal bread.

I must confess, sometime I learn something completely new when I read the local bird cage liner. In reading about Whole Paycheck in today's edition I learned that they put grass-fed butter in their coffee. Now, we've used butter for years and we've never had to feed it anything. Had I known I would have just put a couple of sticks in the yard in the morning and avoided all that lawn mowing. Typically, our butter sits patiently on the table while we eat until we decide to use some. I've never even seen it try to sneak a bite!

I frequent one across from my office when traveling for work. The lunch buffet is great.

I did, person I was with wanted to go. It was a mad house but the checkout lines still moved fast and were well staffed, posisbly every register was open.
I don't get why people stood in line for the opening, and probably won't go back on my own until the crowds die down. I've been to them in other cities, it's just an expensive grocery store unless you find the couple of things that are well priced or if there is something you can't find elsewhere.
