If they're gonna really try to bring it here keep Poloncarz out of it. Otherwise they'll be searching every outgoing purchase to make sure there are no bedbugs in it.

05.30.2017 Town of Gilbert Decreases Privilege (Sales) Tax Rate

On April 6, 2017, the Gilbert Town Council approved Ordinance No. 2613 to reduce the additional bed tax on hotel/motel from 3.0% to 2.8%, for all hotel/motel stays July 1, 2017 and forward. All other tax rates pertaining to hotel/motels remain unchanged.

05.30.2017 Gilbert Sales Tax Rate to Remain at 1.5% for most taxable activities

Even though the sales tax will be eliminated on four of the Gilbert Tax Classifications beginning January 1, 2016, the sales tax will remain in effect on all other tax classifications. Residential Rental activities will remain taxable at the 1.5% rate.

See Gilbert Tax Classifications & Rates: July 2017 for a list of the taxable activities, and the applicable privilege tax rates.

We still have that "temporary" sales tax fee. How many years has that been "temporary"?

It's refering to hotel rms, and renters, not property owners, Thats how Las Vegas is paying for the 2 billion new stadium with added taxes on hotel rms, and likely how Phoenix is going to pay for building a new baseball stadium for the Diamond Backs and a new arena for the Suns & Coyotes, that the teams are demanding

For starters, the worst government & corrupt government in modern day history & the lack of pubic safety. Hated paying 7,000 a year for property taxes that kept going up every year and now their well over $10,000 a year and going up a lot more. You notice that their's very very little to No Private Investment of any kind. You would think something must be Wrong ? If you don't have any private investment of any kind , It's Game Over !! and its showing and the 1st ring suburbs are looking more & more like the City's of Buffalo ruins everyday.

Now Toys R US went bankrupt, more store closings, For WNY, more empty buildings, less jobs and less tax revenue to add to the already bleeding shrinking tax base, just about everywhere else the empty Toys R US stores, won't say vacant long because new retailers will move in
