    Olympic Hockey

Should Miller start every game? What affect do you think it will have on the Sabres? Ruff has been riding him for weeks and now the olympic team has named him the starter and will treat Quick and Thomas as true backups. Canada will let Brodeur rest and start Luongo in an effort to spread ice time out. What do you think?

I think you'll see Miller start almost every game, but come the thrid period if the US is up like 5-2 they will pull him and play Thomas. I think Thomas will start at least 1 if not 2 games.

I wonder if Canada's plan is better. Thomas has not been playing very often in Boston and trade rumors are floating around. Quick is a very strong option.

I think they ride Miller if he is the hot goalie. Short tournament.

Excellent points! You must admit that Quick is pretty hot too though!

Goaltending is important, as always, but I think that all the contenders for gold (Sweden, Russia, Canada, Finland, and US) all have good goaltending at this level. The difference will be in favor of the country that has their "skill" players come through. That would favor Russia and Canada. The Russians seem to be the scariest team. But the Canadians are mentally the toughest, and on home ice!

I think you might see Thomas or Quick against Noway tomorrow, epecially since thay looked so weak against Canada. I like like Canada to win the Gold by the way, they looked really strong last night. I think Russia is scary as well but their defense is a little suspect; they're not defensive enough.

No I am not. I was born, live and work in the US. I'm just giving my honest opinion. I'm rooting for USA all the way, I just think that Canada has the best team. Kind of like I root for the Bills and Sabres even though I realize thay may not win it all that year.

Canada just looks unbeatable. I think the swiss would be super dangerous if they had more talent. They play well together and hit everything that moves. The top 3 lines for Canada are sick though!
