How can someone be against a state constitution change and say you are against corruption.

So how are you going to prevent corruption in the Constitutional Convention? To be a Delegate you have to follow the same process as running for office (i.e. petitioning and then campaigning to get the most votes if there are more petitions for the seats you are running for is submitted).

I don't know but we know what we have now is very costly to the tax payer. Changes need to be made and the only way to do so with by changing the state constitution.

Only people who wouldn't want a change are the people on the receiving end of our tax dollars for the most part.

How can we find out which group is promoting vote no? I bet it's a group that represents state Unions who have monopolies on services.

A Constitutional Convention is not the only way, the State Leg can amend the Constitution by passing a bill in two consecutive sessions and then sending it to the voters. So it would be more effective and less costly to simply support candidates for State Leg that will do this.

You are viewing the Convention as a silver bullet when it is not. It will take dedication, persistence and consistent action to make long term changes that matter.

There are a lot of groups opposing the Constitutional Convention for the above reasons and others. I believe the Pistol and Rifle Association is opposing the Constitutional Convention.

a convention will be a disaster. Say good bye to the limited gun rights we have, expect socialism to be inshrined in the constitution, etc
Vote for freedom, not political parties.
    Politicians need to cut spending

Or a convention will be a hit. Say good bye to pension padding, groups of people with monopolies of services and some of the issue we complain about every day.

    Exclusive!

See how the politicians, lobbyists and special interest groups will hijack a Constitutional Convention, and game the system for themselves.

Could mean less funding for public schools.

Could be hijacked by extremist groups who won't protect our environment.

Could empower the same politicians who've already taken advantage of us.

    Go take their poll

Hardworking NY families are voting NO on a Constitutional Convention.
Here are just some of the reasons.

IF we have a positive outcome in our favor families might no have to work so hard to make ends meet. They might even start moving back to NYS.

    Who is Voting No

ardworking taxpayers all over NY are voting NO on the Constitutional Convention. But they are not alone. Groups and organizations, many who rarely agree on anything, have come together to voice their opposition to a Constitutional Convention.

Their reasons are simple. A Constitutional Convention will cost taxpayers a fortune, lead to more corruption, and be controlled by big money and extreme interests.

The following is just a partial list of the Groups and Organizations who have joined New Yorkers Against Corruption in our grassroots effort to vote NO on a Constitutional Convention.

Most of the groups are on the receiving end of our tax dollars
