Eddie, how do you actually do your research?
I re read the following and had some questions:
Rumor Mill: Town / Village Police Merger???
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rumor Mill:
Has there been a merger of Town & Village police departments?
Received the email below (in blue italics)
I recently spoke to a Village of Angola Police Officer (anonymous). He indicated the Town and Village Police Departments are already functioning as one entity. The word is to "keep it quiet." He wasn't sure if their is an official announcement or indication publicly about this change.
The part-time officers in the Village of Angola will be eliminated. The current full-time officers will be transferred to the Town of Evans. The Town is going to add one car (or use a village car) to their fleet for sole patrol on village streets. These officers will be employed by the Town. Currently, several of the Village full time officers are seen driving in Town Police cars as step one in the transition.
No word on the village police office. Since there isn't any dispatching, it is planned for closure.
In the past, Evans officials denied knowledge of the sex offender group home, the development of the Wendt Beach Mansion and recently the rezoning to farmland.
Maybe someone who Does Not Think stealth government is wrong can comment on officials that make major decisions without public input many times in violation of NYS law.

So when you get an email like the one in blue type, do you just post it? Do you call around make sure it is real? When you say something like the police departments are merging, do expect me to take it as gospel at face value? If I were to demand that you produce mor evidence to support your claims, would you tell me to go figure it out for myself?
So really, you just make this up on the fly right. THere is no truth to any of this right?
and you are ok with this?
What about the people who actually think this is a real news site instead of a flight of fantasy?
You just edbusted yourself
I'll post it huh huh I will. It's a rumor
meanwhile, you have allgirl4bd lapping it up like it's real.
see evans, eddie boy admits he doesn't check the validity of or stand behind the truth of any of the items on his website....
makes me wonder.
Now, I've been warned to be civil...so I'll do my best

How do you interpret it then? EGSIII admits that he will post unsubstantiated rumors, he does not source his content, and he reprints portions of news stories and parts of legal decision. He makes wild accusations that are not backed up with documented proof - when pressed; he cites his own website as if that is the gospel of proof. I say he does this in part to confuse and mislead - that is my interpretation. I am often misled by his website. And when pressed for clarification, he tells his readers to "do their own homework".
Allgirl, you yourself have quoted and backed up some of your arguments by linking to his "articles". Are you not "lapping" it up? Are you not serving to further muddy the waters by propigating disinformation? Information that is not backed up with hard and real fact? Most of that site is speculation.
So how do you interpret this mis-information planted out in the public arena? If there is intentional and fundamental flaws in the validity of the "news articles" this public figure puts out on his public "news" website, don't you have to assume the rest of it is slanted or tainted? If there appears to be a conscious effort to obscure the truth in favor of one's preferred reality, isn’t it safe to say the rest of it is also tainted? It needs to be discredited...just as the FOEs discredit the town crier, the magnifying glass should be held up to townofevans.com as well.
I'm really curious. As I was told to debate, I am open to Debate on this subject.
(How was that? Civil?)
DNT: Where's Your Retraction??????????????
DNT: Regarding CM; Your slander and innuendo had to be removed from this forum by the system administrator. Where's your proof / retraction / apology?????
In 2005, McPeek/Crier accused CM in his poor excuse of a newspaper of cutting a customer's break lines. Where's his proof /retraction / apology?????
You only post lies and your opinion while trying to hold others to a higher standard. Why don't you play by your own rules?????
uhhhmmmm can you say 180 degree turn around?

Just because you don't know the meaning of words, don't think everyone else is down at your education level.
Milret offered up an interesting morsel of information by way of an example. This example indicated that If I didn't mind the town board spending my money, then he would love to have me as a customer at his auto repair shop....so that he could defraud me. I didn't say that He defrauded people, he did - by using that example. What I find further interesting is that you bring up another accusation against the same auto repair shop about cutting brake lines. Again, I didn't offer that info, you did. Considering that the owner of that particular auto repair shop is one of the strongest critics of the board and in particular, is one of the loudest voices protesting the NYC spending issue - the issue that was being discussed in that thread....I guess it was easy to make the connection. I still have no information discrediting the opinion I formed based on information you and milret volunteered. If anything, you have brought to light more information supporting my opinion. Where there is smoke, there is fire.
You yourself have said (see above) that it's ok to spread rumors....Right?????
Isn't the police merger a rumor? Isn't the town's responsibility for paying the $500K to Gleason a rumor? You said yourself that it is up to me to figure out if those rumors are true or not. The fact remains, that you and milret have offered up information that COULD be interpreted as shady business practices by someone who offers auto repair services to the community. As a member of the community, who at times needs auto repair services, I am putting the pieces together and the picture I get is not so great for my auto repair needs. I for one am not going to take the chance of getting ripped off or exposed to harm by taking my car to that shop for repairs.
If I was CM, I would be asking you and milret for a retraction because it is the information you two offered that has formed my opinion. Am I allowed to form an opinion based on information offered on a public forum and then stand behind my opinion? Is that allowed? If someone tells me that a local restaurants uses rat droppings instead of flour to thicken up it's gravy, A. I'm not going to eat at that restaurant, and B. I will relay that info to my friends and family in order to protect them from harm.
You two offered information that leads me to think that if I take my car to that shop, I may not get the repairs I think I am getting and paying for, AND now (thanks to your information, EGSIII) I may actually be put in harms way as a result of taking my car there for repairs - hard to stop a car with cut brake lines! Thus I think it important to let my family, friends and neighbors know that the same may happen to them. Again, where there is smoke, there usually is fire.
That's how rumors work....right? Aren't you the #1 proponent of spreading rumors????? You don't know this.
This might be a good investigative article for the Crier
Evans residents, what do you think?
