I visited my mom last night and she had this old box on the carpet.

My curiosity got the best of me and I opened it.
It was full of vintage fountain pens and old ball point pens. There was one smaller box inside that had these.

I don't understand why it says 1899 on one side but 1901 on the other.

Hi - Did you learn anything more about this "token"? I found one in my dad's estate too. It belonged to one of his parents. I can't find any information about it but would like to know the year, what it was used for etc. Thanks.
