Lockport, June 6th
Falling from a window at his home, Robert Klineline, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Clineline, 244 Caledonia St., suffered a fractured left elbow. He was attended at Lockport City Hospital.
If he was 6 in 1944 he would be in his mid 70's
Pretty sure this is the house
I see he has passed away based in his sister's obituary

WBEN gives first word of invasion, leads in details
With the air waves cleared of all commercial advertising, WBEN today continued a moment-by moment news service that began at 12:43 AM when NBC's pre-arranged "V" signal announced the start of the invasion and aroused to action the men who broadcast the news.

Tony,
VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Tony, I have the first C-E Extra and the Buffalo Evening News Extra from June 6, but lacked the Radio page. God, if you had posted this sucker just an hour earlier, I would not have been forced to consult my yellowing notes to check times.
FYI, the reports between 2:30 a.m. and the referred 3:17 a.m. news as reported over NBC and CBS, concerned the paratroop landings and air strikes.
The NBC report as carried by WBEN at 3:17 a.m. concerned the preparatory naval bombardment, and of course can not be found on the CBS (WKBW) link.
CBS and NBC started non-stop coverage at about 2:50 a.m., although CBS broke in every fifteen minutes or so since 12:37.
If you want, I can post an archival link to the NBC coverage which runs for about thirty-six or so hours, from 2:50 a.m. June 6 through 6:00 p.m. June 7. But that link is full of soap operas and other regular programming, so one would have to be a weird as me to want to listen to all of that.
BTW, your post looks like my den, sans military artifacts.
Thanks again for sharing.
