These numbers should be based not on a 150K house, but the average house value in each town/village. Let's be honest their are a lot more 150K+ houses in Amherst than say depew, it sku's the numbers.
BUt if give people a reference point. I know what are house is assessed at.
We are being screwed. I didn't realize how inefficient town services are.

Otherwise, the comparison would be like apples to gorillas.
Since Elma has a equalization rate of 4.95, wouldn't a home in Elma assessed @ $150,000 have a Full market value of $3,030,303 and a home in Clarence with the same assessment have a Full market value of $150,000 since their equalization rate is 100%?
The chart takes into consideration 100% market value and equalization rates to come to an apples to apples consideration.Quote:
