You are correct that they are setting up for a new dome. However, it does not have to be built on the back of the taxpayer. While you were gone, there were several threads that outlined how it could be built with little to no taxpayer funds.

You are a moron. The average cost for a luxury box in the NFL in a new stadium is $50k and $200k a season. Look up before you type.
In terms of ticket prices, that is the entire reason behind a dome. In 2006 Buffalo had the lowest average price at around $42.00. The highest was New England at around $90.00.
In order for a new owner to make the Bills a viable business in Buffalo, they would need to raise the average to at least $65-$70. In order to do this, you are going to need to attract a different crowd. There is plenty of people in WNY who have this kind of money, they just choose to not spend it on Bills tickets because of the winter games. A dome would allow a wider selection of potential buyers for both single games and season tickets. Another way to put it, the Hunting Gear Guy on the 50 yard line would no longer be there.
In terms of luxury boxes, if there was a dome downtown, the Bills would not have a problem in selling 150 suites at $80k-$100k per. This is a write off for companies. They would much rather spend it on this then to send it to Albany or DC.
Added to this, the OP location hurts the Bills in selling tickets and luxury boxes to Rochester and Toronto. Simply because it is in the middle of nowhere. Not close to places to eat. Not close to places to sleep. Not close to places to drink. A downtown location, as in other NFL cities, allow the team to attract from a larger base. It also makes it more attractive for visiting teams to buy tickets. A fan from Miami may come up for the September game but a large portion would not for a December game. If there was a dome downtown, they would stay for a night, eat in the city, drink in the city and fly into the airport. Visiting fans are a huge part of ticket sales in areas where weather does not effect the decision. At least for the game part.
many other stadiums were built out side of cities. just like ours. the difference is other owners invested in the area around the stadiums. there is plenty of room out here But Wilson just had one big ugly barn built.
sports bars, golf courses, amusement parks, restaurants museums hotels. surround other suburban stadiums but our owner left this one stand naked.
We have had it with the traffic jams and drunks with nothing to show for our trouble.
I'm sure with all the houses they are tearing down there has to be room for a dome near the casino and that big reservoir the Sabres play in

The Bills have been a regional team for the last 20 years. They have always gone after fans as far East as Rochester and West to Southern Ontario. When you are a regional team, having a suburban stadium simply does not work.

You claim on one hand to hate tax handouts but yet call for things that would need major tax subsidies to run year round outside of the 8-10 weekends the Bills have games. IF those things were built, they would have starved to death shortly after being built.
