Its that time of year when people have just eaten lots of Christmas cookies and have decided their New Years resolution is to get fit. One local church, Eastern Hills at 8445 Greiner Road in suburban Clarence, just opened Pulse Indoor Cycling as a unique way for people in the community to get fit. The church has dedicated a large room full of Peloton bikes to this endeavor, complete with five instructors and several classes Mondays through Saturdays.

Pulse Indoor Cycling offers Rhythm Class, which incorporates dance-like movements using the beat of the music to get people moving in ways that improve cardio health, core strength and balance as they ride bikes. Pulse also offers Power Class, which is strength-based to work the legs at different resistance levels. Classes last 50 minutes each. Participants should be over the age of 14 and weigh less than 297 pounds. One does not need to be a member or attender of the church in order to participate. In fact, no membership is required one can take a single class (and see if they like it) or purchase a class pack for multiple classes at a reasonable price. More information is available at Pulse Indoor Cycling or by calling 716-688-7165.

Pulse Indoor Cycling is a ministry of Eastern Hills Church, a large local congregation that believes in health for the whole person physical, spiritual, mental and emotional. Eastern Hills Church is known for its DivorceCare and GriefShare groups ministering to those grappling with the pain of divorce and/or the loss of a loved one. The church also offers Cancer Care, Caregiver Connections, and several other groups for people dealing with troubled marriages, substance abuse issues, etc. For more info, please visit: Visit EHWC Care
